Through daily after-school tutoring, weekly mentorship sessions, and monthly enrichment workshops, we help students achieve academic success, develop leadership skills, and prepare for college and career pathways. The program runs year-round with intensive summer programming.
Over three years, this initiative will serve 450 youth from underrepresented backgrounds, with ambitious goals to increase high school graduation rates by 25% and college enrollment by 40% among participants. Through intensive academic support five days per week, personalized one-on-one mentoring, college application assistance, and comprehensive family engagement programming, we create a pathway from academic struggle to post-secondary success.
We define equity as ensuring all youth have access to the resources, opportunities, and support systems needed to succeed, regardless of race, income, or background. We measure equity through multiple lenses: (1) tracking participation rates across demographic groups to ensure representation, (2) disaggregating outcome data by race, gender, and income to identify disparities, (3) conducting regular youth and family surveys about their experiences and sense of belonging, and (4) reviewing our staffing, curriculum, and policies through an equity lens to remove barriers to participation and success.
Equity means intentionally identifying and removing systemic barriers while providing differentiated support so that all youth can achieve their full potential. Our equity measurement framework includes: disaggregated outcome data analyzed by race, income, English learner status, and disability; participation tracking to ensure our program demographics reflect community demographics; regular equity audits of our curriculum, policies, and staff diversity; youth-led feedback sessions centering voices of those most impacted; and annual equity reports shared transparently with stakeholders. When gaps emerge, we adjust programming, increase supports, and address root causes.
We track a comprehensive set of metrics to measure program impact: (1) Participation metrics including attendance rates and program retention; (2) Academic outcomes including GPA improvements, course pass rates, and standardized test scores; (3) Long-term success indicators including high school graduation rates, college enrollment, and college persistence; (4) Skill development through pre/post assessments of leadership, social-emotional learning, and college readiness; and (5) Satisfaction and engagement through youth, family, and partner surveys. Data is collected quarterly and reviewed by our program team to drive continuous improvement.
Our comprehensive evaluation framework measures progress across three levels: (1) Short-term outputs including program attendance (target 85%+ attendance rate), engagement levels, and service delivery metrics; (2) Medium-term outcomes including academic improvement (target 0.5 GPA increase), demonstrated leadership skills through youth-led projects, social-emotional competency gains measured via validated assessments, and college knowledge increases; (3) Long-term impacts including high school graduation rates (target 95%), college enrollment (target 75%), first-year college persistence (target 85%), and career readiness indicators. We conduct quarterly data reviews with disaggregated analysis and annual independent evaluations.
